国際結婚でも大満足！感動と感謝の時間を過ごせた一日。

Q1.ラヴィマーナ神戸でのご結婚式を選ばれた理由をお聞かせください。
私たちは挙式を上げれる日が決まっており、神戸で空いている場所を探して見に行ったのがラヴィマーナ神戸でした。案内されたチャペルアーリオスに入った瞬間、"ココだね"と二人の心は決まりました。その後見に行った会場バースはまさに私たちが思い描いていた通りの場所で、アットホームで貸切コテージの前に広がる海岸は写真を撮らずにはいられないほど美しかったのを覚えています。その日に契約をし、案内をしてくれた岩城さんが自分のことのように喜んで、お二人の結婚式が見れるのが今から楽しみですと言ってくださり、スタッフさんの第一印象がよかったことも一つの大きな理由です。
（RAVIMANA）
Ravimana is an absolutely beautiful location. Just off the coast of Kobe it faces Awaji Island and features a water front view. There are 2 chapels available, one is pristine white and glass and the other made of dark wood. We chose the latter chapel and were delighted with our choice.
Due to our reception being quite small, around 45 guests, we were worried our reception room might feel empty. However, the variety of different rooms on offer at Ravimana offers a solution to most parties. Our room was called 'Birth' and it was great. It over looked the bay and while there are many rooms in the Ravimana complex, the room felt completely isolated and private.
As you come into Ravimana for the first time you are assigned a member of staff to take you on a tour of the resort. We were given Ibaraki-san. She was one of the reason why we decided to have our wedding here. We saw her dedication, her passion and her joy for her job. Once we had signed the paperwork and agreed to the ceremony, we were assigned a wedding planner who would be our main port of call for anything we needed. Honshou-san was our planner. To say she worked hard would be an understatement. She was available to us whenever we needed and tried her best to accomidate our smallest request. It is this dedication and hard work that allowed us to have the wedding the way we wanted it.
Upon looking at previous wedding schedules, we decided that we wanted a more unique experience. To this end we decided to forgo the Ravimana appointed officiate and have our closest friends officiate the wedding for us. It was very simple and easy for us to do, we provided scripts, schedules and examples to our planner and she took care of the rest. It went off without a hitch, even though half of the wedding party could not speak Japanese.

Q2.挙式についてのご感想やエピソードをお聞かせください。
新郎のこだわりがファーストミートでした。
準備から当日まで、花嫁の姿を見ることの無いようスタッフの皆様が動いてくださりました。アーリオスで一人立つ彼に声をかけ、振り向いてくれたあの瞬間は言葉では言い表せないほど幸せで、本当に特別な瞬間でした。完璧なセッティングをしてくださったスタッフの皆様、とくにプランナーの本庄さんに感謝です。今でもあの瞬間が忘れられません。
ラヴィマーナの魅力でもある海岸での前撮り撮影はできなかったですが、それにかえられないほどの新鮮さと特別感、彼の為に真っ白のドレスを着るその緊張感を味わうことができ、式当日にファーストミートにして本当に良かったと思います。挙式は、母にベールダウン、父にベールアップ、二人の立会人に進行をしてもらう、互いにメッセージを送り合うなど、映画のワンシーンのような宣誓式にするため、本庄さんと毎回打ち合わせをしてきました。私たちらしい笑い声が響く、温かい挙式にすることができました。こだわりや憧れを現実にするために走り回ってくださるスタッフの姿を見るたび、ここに決めてよかったと思いました。
（CEREMONY）
In Japan, it is traditional for the wedding couple to take their wedding photos before the actual wedding. This way they can choose a day where the weather and lighting is perfect. My wife and I decided not to do this as we wanted to see each other dressed up for the first time would be on the wedding day. We decided to have a mini, private ceremony before the actual ceremony to see each other. This was my favourite moment of the entire day. It was perfect, and went completely smoothly and we will remember it forever.

Q3.披露宴についてのご感想やエピソード・こだわりについてお聞かせください。
海外から駆けつけてくれた新郎の家族や友人の為にも、出来るだけゲストの皆様と過ごせるよう、お色直しをせず、余興等を入れず、ゆったりスケジュールを組みました。宴は新婦の父が挨拶をするという異例な形でスタート！　娘3人を持つ私の父が、結婚式でスピーチをする機会は今までなく、直前まで緊張する父。私の幼少の話や初めて新郎に会った時のこと、苦手な英語も交えてスピーチをする姿に多くのゲストの方から"お父様のスピーチ、感動したわ！"と言って頂きました。当日の朝は雨がポツポツ降っていたので、一番楽しみにしていたデザートビュッフェが出来るか心配していましたが、雨はすっかりあがり、ブラインドがあがった瞬間の皆の喜ぶ顔が見れて本当に嬉しかったです！デザートビュッフェは大好評で、とくに海外の人たちは日本のデザートは本当に本当においしいね！！と大喜びでした。コース料理はデザートビュッフェを楽しんでいただくため、お肉のランクを上げ、品数は抑えてもらう等料理長にもこちらの要望をしっかりと伝えることが出来よかったと思います。
ドリカムの曲"あなたにサラダ"に合わせてミックスジュースを作る夫婦共同作業は、音響のスタッフ、プランナーさんと打ち合わせ中に突然思いついた案でした。母の日にあわせたサプライズに、今までにこんなことする花嫁花婿見たことがない！！と思った以上に盛り上がり、異例なことづくしにとことん向き合ってくれた本庄さんに本当に感謝です。
当日フォトグラファーとして写真を撮ってくださった菅原さんが、父に"今日はなんだか僕も式に招待してもらったゲストのような感覚で写真を撮っていました。本当に素敵な家族の集まりですね"と。これほどうれしい言葉はありませんでした。
日本語と英語を見事に使い分けながらスムーズな進行をしてくださった司会の酒多さんのおかげで、言葉の壁を感じることなく、むしろそれぞれの文化をミックスしながらゲストの皆さんと一緒に素敵な時間を過ごすことができました。
（RECEPTION）
Due to half of the wedding party not being able to speak Japanese, a bilingual MC was high on our list of priorities. Thankfully, our planner at Ravimana was able to source us an experienced MC who could speak English and Japanese. With a little planning we developed a schedule and script which worked perfectly. All of our guests were pleasantly surprised that they were able to understand everything.
Normally the wedding resort handles things like introduction videos and profile videos that are played during the wedding. However, my wife and I both have experience making videos and wanted to make special introduction and profile videos. We asked Honshou-san if this was possible and of course this was possible.
Our entrance to the reception was slightly complex, it was timed to music, with lights etc. We spent sometime with Ravimana's AV technicians and on the day everything went of on time and worked a treat!

Q4.おふたりより、これから花嫁になる方へ一言お願いします。
私はプロポーズをうけた次の週に、半年後の式をラヴィマーナ神戸に決めました。すでに既婚をしていた姉妹からはもっとたくさんのブライダルフェアーに参加し、情報収集しなくていいの？とアドバイスをもらったのですが、はじめてここに来たとき、ときめくものを感じました。真っ白なウエディングドレスを着て、教会で彼と並んで歩くその瞬間を思い描きながら、一つ一つの選択をウキウキ、わくわくしながら新郎様やご家族と決めていってくださいね。そして、不安や悩みはきっとたくさん出てくると思いますが、私はラヴィマーナで出会えたスタッフの皆様のプロフェッショナルなお仕事ぶりに本当に助けられました。やることが多くてタイトなスケジュールの時でさえ、ラヴィマーナに行く日はとても楽しみでした。打ち合わせの時にでてくる季節限定の飲み物もプチ菓子も、その楽しみの一つでした☆　お二人の結婚式が思い描いているような最高の一日になりますように。

（ADVICE）
Ravimana Resort is a stunningly gorgeous place to tie the knot. The price is competitive and the staff were super supportive and dedicated to their job.
Although there is English speaking support, it is limited to the MC and/or photographer. The planners can speak very limited English however it is not enough to convey the information you will need for the wedding. I suggest that you have someone who is able to translate or handle all of the wedding planning for you.
Everything being said, I would definitely recommend checking out Ravimana if you are able to speak Japanese fluently.
